Free Indian Music Workshop in Perth, 11th-18th March 2018

Expedition the Musical journey will be running two free workshops held on Sunday 11th and 18th March from 2.00 – 4.00 pm.
These two workshops will provide people of all age groups to learn different aspects of Indian Music and to learn singing (including instruments Harmonium, guitar and Tabla).
The workshops will be conducted by our qualified and professionally trained Music teacher having 9 years of experience as a Music Teacher in India (with 4 yrs in central government schools) and Australia.
These two free workshops will cover a range of topics including-:
>Music is both practical and theoretical.
> Why theory is important to sing and play Music.
>History of Indian Music
> What are the two main categories in Indian Music?
> Different varieties of Indian Music.
> Why it is important to have knowledge about Classical Music for any kind of singing or playing instruments.
>A description of Swara and Scale.
> What is the importance of Taal (rhythm) in music and how to become good at it?
> What are the benefits of learning music?
Things you need to bring-:
>A notebook
> Pen or pencilLimited seats. Registration will be closed once we received a confirmed booking by 20 people for each workshop.
The people attending can register for Music lessons after the workshop and can grab a discount on Bulk lessons.
