Mr Hothi had his very own transport business that operated within Melbourne, he was known to his friends as a very strong person in general. According to Mr Gursab Singh who also drives a truck with the same company, there was nothing that could have suggested that he should take such a step!

It has been noted that the very last entry on Ramandeep’s Facebook Page was on New Years Day where he had posted a photo of himself wearing a magenta coloured turban, he wrote on his page, “Welcome 2017, Going For New Inning”!

Friends and family are now in communication with the Indian Consulate so that Mr Hothi’s body can be repatriated back to his family in the city of Jalandhar, India.
