Om Vegetarian Indian Restaurant Swanston Street, Melbourne City
Our mission involves sharing love, inner peace and a vegetarian lifestyle.
The Melbourne restaurants CBD were established by the husband and wife couple Suraj and Meena who reflected upon the rising costs of living within Melbourne, especially within the city.
With this in mind, the couple set off to establish an Indian Melbourne restaurant accessible for all students, families and office workers. With divine blessings and hard work, they established their first restaurant tucked away on level 1, in the heart of the city.
The inspiring response received from customers and staff alike had been tremendous, and the restaurant was published as an up and comer in many cheap eat guides as the best value meal offered in all of Melbourne!
With this great response, in May 2012, the Om Vegetarian team set up it’s second venue on the corner of Swanston and Collins Street. This restaurant located in the ground floor arcade across from City Square has also become a lunch and dinner hotspot for locals and tourists alike.
In June 2014, Om Vegetarian opened it’s first VEG CAFE restaurant. This restaurant specialises in special a la carte cuisine including South Indian specialities such as Masala Dosa as well as the punjabi favourite – Makki Roti and Saag.
Om Vegetarian’s Goal is to provide people with wholesome, delicious and affordable Melbourne dining, and to promote the benefits of being Vegetarian and living in a sustainable environment.
Moreover, we prove to so many people how delicious vegetarian food can be!
