The festival finds its origin in the streets of Vrindavan over 5000 years ago where the Gopis rocked Krishna on a decorated swing.
HINDOLA UTSAV (Swing Festival) is lavishly celebrated from SHRAAVAN KRUSHNA PADWA to BHADRAPAD KRUSHNA DUJ i.e. total 32 days.
In Pushtimarg, HINDOLAs (Swing) are made of wood, gold or silver. They are decorated with flowers, fruits, dry fruits, vegetables, garlands, rakhis, glass / mirrors, JARI / glitter, pearls etc.
HINDOLA remains one of the most auspicious festivals for pushti marg vaishnavs.
