Join us on Saka Dawa in a joyful ceremony celebrating Lord Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and parinirvana. The offering puja is a beautiful practice, sung in English to the traditional Tibetan tunes.
We recite praises to the Buddha based on stories from the Jataka, make copious offerings to the 15 foot Applique thangka, offer delicious chai tea, make personal dedications, and strew flowers to the ten directions!
This is an uplifting and inspiring occasion. This is the holiest day on the Buddhist calendar, and the power of everything we do on this day is greatly magnified.
It is a great day for spiritual activity, making offerings, and re-setting the course of your life.
We make
individual dedications where you have the opportunity, if you wish, to make special prayers for sick family members, success of projects and endeavours, the removal of obstacles and the flourishing of Dharma and the resources for a meaningful life.
Give the gift of generosity and make mountains of merit!
