Followed by fresh watermelon juice and raw cake. Watermelon not only cools us down but also quenches our thirst on a summer afternoon, and our yoga practice can do the same!
As we transition into summer this Yin sequence will target the heart and small intestine meridians, which, although physically distant from each other in the body, work closely together to govern the body’s blood flow in the physical and energy senses, since blood is considered an aspect of life force, or Chi.
During this extended Yin Practice we target these meridians by opening the front side of the body, focusing on arms, shoulders and chest, leaving you feeling open and ready for summer!
