‘Hatha Yoga is not body bending business. It is about taking control of the way you think, feel and perceive life.’ – Sadhguru
The Sydney Spiritual Network are happy to welcome Abhishek Guru, founder of Yoga Sadhana in Parramatta, who will be providing us with an insightful talk on the ancient, classical path of Hatha Yoga.
All the practices, events and paths we explore at the Sydney Spiritual Network are created with the intent of helping us discover ways of entering into our innermost cores.
And with the profound contribution Yoga thas made to the evolution of humanity, SSN are excited to be exploring this path in its classical form.
Yoga has become extremely popular in the west mostly for its physical and mental health benefits however, this is just the start as the essential goal of Yoga is a way for the individual to attain spiritual self-realization.
Who should attend this talk?
Perhaps you are new to classical Yoga or aren’t sure what classical yoga is, or even if it differs from mainstream yoga.
Or maybe you’re currently a yoga student and would like to deepen your understanding, or you are just curious to find out more about classical yoga. Or do you have questions such as:
– What does Yoga really mean? – Why do I need to do Yoga? – I’m not spiritual, what can Yoga do for me? – By doing Yoga, will I change my lifestyle or stop enjoying life? – I’m not really flexible, can I still do it? – Do I need a ‘Guru’, or a yoga teacher, or can I just learn from YouTube?
If any of the above applies to you then you’ll gain from this talk.
On the day you will learn about:
– The origins of Yoga – What Hatha Yoga is and why it is a useful tool for modern living – Understand the mechanics of stress and disease – Discover how exactly Yoga enhances body and mind – What sets Isha Hatha Yoga apart from other styles of Yoga – How to select a Yoga program that is right for you – Learn a couple of simple yoga tools for general wellbeing – Q&A
Yoga Sadhana offer multiple programs which we’ll also be able to explore further.
