Come along on Sunday 8 October and discover the many delicious flavours, aromas, sounds and colours of this traditional festivity during this free day long celebration of arts and culture from our local Chinese community.
Join us from 10am – 4pm in a day of celebrations with stunning performances and displays that can be enjoyed by the whole family:
Performances include:
• An awe-inspiring traditional lion dance featuring five lions!
• Melbourne’s largest and longest Hong Kong style performing dragon
• Kings Only B’Boy breakdance performance
• Kung Fu performance by Jow Ga Kuen, Melbourne’s fi rst traditional Jow Ga Kung Fu school.
• Mindy Meng Wang performing with the guzheng – a 2500 year-old Chinese zither
There will also be 15 Asian street food trucks and marquees selling the best of Melbourne’s Asian fare including:
• Sumptuous charcoal spit
• Vietnamese rice cakes
• Chicken and pork skewers
• Coconut icecream
• Fried Malaysian noodles
• The ever-popular potato twists
• Sugar cane juice
• Pad Thai
• Moon cake
Plus children’s craft and face painting.
