In September 2017, it will mark the 11th anniversary of the passing away of the legend Peter Brock.
In memory of the legend, West Coast Commodores will be yet again hosting the huge tribute cruise to also support charity!
We want to make this one bigger and better for all that attend the event, so click on going, share the event around, and help us make the 2017 cruise the biggest and best yet!
This event is being held in memory of the great man Peter Brock, who through his dedication to motorsport and passion for the motor vehicle has in many ways touched many Australians hearts in some way or form.
This year West Coast Commodores will be raising money for charity as well as paying respects to the great man himself.
The cruise will see us going to the site where Peter Brock, while competing in the Targa West Rally, crashed his Daytona Coupe into a tree and died in Gidgegannup on the 8th September 2006.
Details for the event –
We will be meeting in the Midland Centrepoint Carpark, with the arranged overflow carpark at the train station, at 8am for a 10:30am departure on Sunday the 10th September 2017.
For a donation of just $10 to the charity, a cruise map and sticker will be given on the day, and no change will be given, so be generous as the minimum donation is just $10.
In addition to the cruise this year, after we have paid our respect at the crash site, we will head to the bigger and better destination, that we used last year, for a show and shine and BBQ, which will also be located back in the metro area which will be at STIRLING SQUARE IN GUILDFORD!!
We will also have some trophies to give away on the day for the show and shine part of the event, a huge raffle like last year’s event, so be sure to get your raffle tickets throughout the cruise and at the end point.
For this event, we are also seeking sponsorship from people and businesses in the way of prizes for the huge raffle that will be held on the day of the event.
We are also seeking businesses that are willing to set up traders stalls at the destination of the cruise to add an element of interest once all the cars are parked up.
So get in contact with the club by sending an email to westcoastcommodores@gmail.com or PM Phil Holling and we will organise with you asap so we can get your advertising organised prior to the event.
Please come along with West Coast Commodores to pay respects to the great man Peter Brock, as well as supporting charity. For information about the club, go to www.westcoastcommodores.com
Hope to see you all there!
Regards West Coast Commodores Team
