Living Small,Gardening Big: Bringing greenery into our homes and communities
Date: Wednesday July 19th
Time: 6 – 7:30pm (Pop up bar open 5.30)
Venue: VU at MetroWest, 138 Nicholson Street, Footscray
In this Game Changers session, we explore trends in garden design for small spaces and provide tips for bringing greenery into our homes.
We examine the process of designing and maintaining small green spaces and reflect on how this can motivate us to interact with our neighbourhood and wider community. With living spaces getting smaller and more of us moving into apartment buildings, we consider the psychological and aesthetic benefits of indoor gardening and the ways in which just being closer to greenery can make us feel better.
By changing our perceptions of what being a gardener looks like, we can transform our smaller living spaces and expand the ways in which we create community.
With special guest Indira Naidoo!
