The Murlocs will release their third album ‘Old Locomotive’ on July 28th, 2017 on Flightless Records.
The album is 13 tracks of blistering rock n roll – full of vintage hooks, twists and grooves and mind-melting guitar and harmonica licks. PRE-ORDER here.
Singer and lyricist Ambrose Kenny-Smith says the album stands against “rocknroll extinction” and that each song touches on abandonment and the “continuous search for a better alternative”.
“In todays future of webcam music, conventional bands might often be seen as a dying breed.
The power of this harsh reality can sometimes leave us tainted as we’re left to harvest that dead feeling inside. ‘Old Locomotive’ stands against rocknroll extinction.
From start to finish each song approaches the face of abandonment and the continuous search for a better alternative.” he says.
The album was produced by King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard frontman Stu Mackenzie and recorded at Flightless HQ.
Recently announced for the 2017 Splendour in the Grass line-up, The Murlocs will launch ‘Old Locomotive’ in August, with their biggest national tour to date. Get on board!
