Every Thursday throughout July you can pop into Green Mumma and purchase a bowl of soup and bread for $7 as part of the Feed Geelong Appeal’s Soup Kitchen Thursdays.
We are donating the soup, with the guys at La Madre Bakery generously donating the bread. This means 100% of the proceeds of your soup are going to the Feed Geelong Appeal
We will have a variety of different soups available each day.
So make sure you leave your lunch at home on Thursday’s.
About Feed Geelong – 
Its estimated that 368,732 meals per year are provided by the Geelong Emergency Food Relief System. That’s approximately 1000 meals a day.
26% of the approximately 5,000 per week requests for food assistance per annum are by families (statistics from the Food for Thought Report, 2014)
To address Geelong’s food insecurity crisis, Feed Geelong provides grants to assist those organisations working within the Geelong Emergency Food Relief System, while also drawing attention to the crisis on our doorstep.
