Join Melbourne outfit Lillian Albazi Quintet for an evening of classic jazz. Presenting modern arrangements of standards from The Great American Songbook, Lillian’s vocals are inspired by the great ladies of jazz: Anita O’Day, Nancy Wilson, Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughn.
After a busy 2016 debuting at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, playing at Uptown Jazz Café as part of Leaps and Bounds Music Festival represented by the Melbourne Improviser’s Collective and gracing many coastal stages, Lillian Albazi Quintet are proving to be a band to watch out for.
This year Lillian and her band have shown no signs of slowing down, performing again at the 2017 Melbourne International Jazz Festival, making their debut at Port Fairy Jazz Festival and opening both Inverloch and Castlemaine Jazz Festivals.
Lillian will be joined by some of Melbourne’s finest young musicians:
