Mingus Thingus has been performing together around Melbourne for just over four years, playing at many of the fantastic venues and clubs around Melbourne.
Last year in May, the band recorded a live album at the Paris Cat Jazz Club, one of the band’s favourite venues and greatest supporters. Now the band is returning to launch their debut album in the very room it was recorded in.
Come and hear a variety of Charles Mingus’ most popular and eclectic compositions, played by some of Melbourne’s most fantastic musicians who bring a unique touch each song.
Featuring arrangements by band leader and baritone saxophonist Nick McCusker, this launch is bound to be a night of fun and exciting twists and turns through some truly amazing music!
