Brenton Foster 6tet settles in for the long, cold Melbourne winter in the steaming backstreets of Brunswick.
Over seven weeks, the band will perform songs from their new album, The Nature Of Light, as well as favourites from their debut, Two Cities, and new material written specially for the winter residency.
Brenton Foster continues to establish himself as a unique voice in the Australian original music scene.
He has supported artists such as Sting and Jessica Mauboy, and shared the stage with Australian and international jazz icons, including Bob Mintzer, Mike Nock, Joe Chindamo and James Morrison.
Following performances at the 2017 Melbourne International Jazz Festival and 2017 Stonnington Jazz Festival, the band sets off on The Nature Of Light Tour this September. Their debut album, Two Cities, was nominated for Best Jazz Album at the 2016 The Age Music Victoria Awards.
