Guru Kaaraikkudi Mani through his Sruthi Laya Kendra UK Inc, launched Nandhikeshwara Uthsav (Festival) on 16 April 2017 in UK.
The Australian-Chapter of the festival dedicated to Goddess Mridanga Saileshwari will open at 3pm on Sunday 24 September at Rowville Secondary College PAC .
Overview of the performance presentations:
The Uthsav will open with a grand music ensemble by a number of leading senior musicians, young artists and capable students.
Thereafter, a series of 20-minute long creative instrumental performances illustrating layam aspects on the violin, veena, flute, percussion and western instruments, will be staged by a group of instrumentalists. Mridangam maestro Guru Kaaraikkudi Mani will then present quintessential percussion ensemble along with Ghatam exponent Giridhar Udupa of India.
Intermission: 1/2 hr
As fitting finale during Navarathri, a grand Dance Ballet on Lalitha Sahasranamam will be performed by nine dancers from India for 1 hr and 20 mins.
