Join Zoos Victoria CEO Dr Jenny Gray and Animal Welfare Specialist Dr Sally Sherwen as they discuss whether zoos can do enough to responsibly house animals in the future.
We’ll cover the potential impact of global species conservation as well as advances in welfare science. And you’ll get the chance to ask the CEO or our Animal Welfare Specialist a question of your own.
As zoos around the world face the growing challenge of providing a safe haven for animals that are under threat of extinction, they will need to act as leading ambassadors for conservation and animal welfare.

From frogs to dogs and tiny bandicoots too, find out what each species has to do with Zoos Victoria’s Fighting Wildlife Extinction commitment.
We work with 21 species in dire need of support and you will have the chance to meet the team working behind the scenes to protect the Eastern Barred Bandicoot and the Southern Corroboree Frog from extinction.
