<p>The Mission of Sankat Mochan Samiti is to provide physical, spiritual and moral assistance to individuals, families and community in critical needs with a view to confidently face the challenges of life thus achieving and enhancing peace and harmony.</p>
<p>The organisation is committed to promote and foster educational aspect of spiritual and cultural heritage and work with younger generation, newly arrived individuals and families and also senior members for better understanding of values and beliefs and to live harmoniously in the multicultural environment in and around Melbourne in particular and in Australia in general.</p>
<p>Sankat Mochan Samiti is a not for profit, non-political, spiritual and social welfare organisation. Its aim is to assist spiritually, morally and physically, individuals, families and communities in critical needs to achieve and enhance Peace and Harmony.<br />
The Sankat Mochan Samiti (SMS) organises participatory mass recitations of Universal Peace Prayers to celebrate Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti, Samiti’s Annual Grand Celebration (Mahotsava) and Shardeeya Navarati.</p>

<li>Work with other community groups and organisations to spiritually, morally and physically assist people in critical needs to achieve peace and harmony.</li>
<li>Enhancing the understanding of Indian culture.</li>
<li>Working towards helping people involved in ‘Domestic Violence’.</li>
<li>Establish Sankat Mochan Kendra (Sankat Mochan Centre) to facilitates its activities.</li>
