Evam and Natya Bollywood is proud to present Karthik Kumar’s standup comedy solo show, Second Decoction! Premiere of the super hit show from India!
Second Decoction is Karthik Kumar’s second Standup Comedy Special, after his first #PokeMe. This one is a celebration of all the things that are second best – that we reserve for ourselves, cos we don’t deserve any better! It’s a celebration of the Middle Class upbringing, filled with Hope, Dreams and Life Savings just enough to pay the First EMIs for them.
What’s the Middle Class? The one that’s stuck in the Middle… it’s not Up and neither is it down… like the Side Middle Berth that the Indian Railways tried to introduce – theoretically it could have existed – but practically… let’s be practical – only the Middle class can fit into it… how? Coz we are adjusting like that! The Second Decoction and the Side Middle berth – we fit into it… it becomes us!
The show premiered in Jun 2016 at the prestigious NCPA Cheer! Festival. Since then, the show has had packed houses in Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Singapore. And recently completed a 5 show, 5 city tour of the United Kingdom! Karthik was also part of a 18-city sold out tour of the USA in August.
Premium Ticket includes VIP Seating and Photo session after the show.

In less than a year, Festivals Such of South Asia Inc (FOSAI) has grown into one of the largest associations in the western suburbs. And now aims to become the largest of its kind in Melbourne.
FOSAI is a democratic, secular, non political entity, and comprises a conglomerate of independent organizations and individuals, who have come together in membership to work in mutual harmony, respect and integrated purpose to nurture, promote, foster, and raise awareness, unity and pride in Indian heritage in multicultural Australia.

Kapil Sharma – The King of Comedies
Hailing from the Holy city of Amritsar, Kapil Sharma, a handsome youngster came into this world with a marked identity and intention to bring joy and laughter to the people of this world. During his school and college days, he simply ruled the stage – as an actor, alongwith his versatile abilities as a master of ceremonies, a host and on top of all a unique stand up comedian.
The comic stage presence of Kapil Sharma portrays his “on-stage persona”, which resonates with the audience of today. His quick simultaneous wit and ability to find humour in any situation, under any circumstances render its co-starts and audience speechless.
Kapil even today, follows no written script but comes out with his comic humour immediately, sending the audience roaring with laughter. Straight faced that he is, sometimes even his co-actors are at a loss to react quickly to his endless funny overtures. Being from Punjab, most of his comedy shows are centered around Punjab, its culture and people.
He was the first contestant to grace the stage on the occasion of “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 3” which he won with ease! His well known comedies have made the people of Punjab proud with the portrayal of Shamsher Singh which highlights the mannerisms of the Punjab Police.
With his excellent power of observation and a keen insight into human nature, his high energy level and positive vibes, he has always carved out a niche for himself at every show and as always, the judges of the show gave him a standing ovation!
His 10 years of life in theatre, built in him a super comic acting ability and his creation of Shamsher Singh, Lala Roshan Lal and Daadi Maa on the Television screen are indeed noteworthy.
After winning so many laurels, he stepped into the world of television hosting: -“Chotey Miyan” alongwith his co-host Juhi Parmar on the Colors channel. The Star one’s new show “Chak De Punjabi” cannot be forgotten by the audience.
Watching his performance in “Comedy Nights”, the audience roared with laughter. Kapil Sharma’s new show- “Comedy Circus Ka Tansen” with Ali Asgar and singer Neha Kakkar as partners was a runaway success.
Shamsher Singh, Lala Roshan Lal and Daadi Maa on the small television screen, were indeed excellent. Kapil is a hot favourite of actress and judge Archana Puran Singh. Sonu Nigam once said – now I know why Archana laughs so much! Archana to Kapil Sharma – “Kapil I would like to take you home today”.
He has been praised by Anil Kapoor, who offered him a role in his film. His versatile talent has landed him up with many offers from Punjabi cinema and Bollywood. In fact, he will be shortly acting in Anis Bazmee’s film – “It’s my life”.
He is also expected to act in an upcoming film of Karan Johar. He had made his film acting debut in “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon” directed by Abbas Mustan opposite to Elli Avram. Kapil Sharma is also known as a versatile singer in Punjabi and Hindi language and is getting simultaneous offers for play back singing. His comic body language and his quick wit brings relief to any one in stress. His jokes are often targeted at artificial societal constructs which often make people miserable!
Last but not the least, Kapil Sharma indeed is a blessing in disguise for having brought in endless laughter in this present world of misery and grief! God Bless him !
