It gives us great pleasure to invite you and your dear ones to this year’s Sri Krishna Janmastami Festival – the birthday celebration of Lord Sri Krishna.
Lord Sri Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead and is worshipped along with His consort Srimati Radharani. Lord Krishna is considered the 8th avatar of Lord Vishnu. However Brahma Samhita, a prayer composed by Lord Brahma (the creator of the universe), mentions that Lord Sri Krishna is the original personality and He is the source of Lord Maha Vishnu. This is also confirmed in various ancient sanskrit texts like the Srimad Bhagavatam.
This annual festival offers you a special opportunity to serve Lord Krishna in many wonderful ways like participating in blissful and ecstatic chanting (kirtan), dancing, glorifying the Lord, hearing about His eternal pastimes and partaking a grand vegetarian feast.
You can also participate by giving a generous donation towards the purchase of fresh flowers, new dresses for the Deities, ‘Abhisheka’ – the bathing ceremony of the Lord, or towards the sumptuous vegetarian feast.
