Punjabi Man Arrested For Assaulting Flight Attendant, Forcing The Flight To Return To Toronto
A Punjabi Man is facing charges after assaulting an Air Canada Flight Attendant, Forcing the Toronto to Delhi Flight to return back to Toronto.
Jaskaran Sidhu of Alberta was arrested on Wednesday, 30th Dec 2015 after causing a havoc on an Air Canada flight bound for New Delhi and forcing the flight to return to Pearson International Airport.
Peel Regional Police said that on December 30 at about 12:42 a.m., a flight that had departed for New Delhi had to be diverted back to Pearson International Airport due to a passenger’s assaultive and belligerent behaviour towards a flight attendant. The plane landed without incident and a male on board was arrested and charged in relation to the occurrence. The victim sustained injuries that required medical attention.
Sidhu was arrested and charged with two counts of mischief, assault causing bodily harm, and endangering safety of aircraft.
