Satguru’s Indian Restaurant is a family run business since 1997. The Owner/Chef, Manjit Kaur Dugg, has been working in the hospitality industry for 20 years now.
With a strong passion for food she is one of the only female Indian chefs within the country. Manjit’s enthusiasm has not only seen her excel in the traditional curries and tandoori but she has also created a range of Indian pizza’s which are unique to Satguru’s and provide a modern twist. Manjit Dugg has assured that there is something for everyone at Satguru’s. She is supported by her husband, Nirmal Dugg, who has many years of customer service experience and their two children who are the waiting staff. As a result Satguru’s provides the top food that Indian cuisine has to offer with loving service.
It boasts several awards such as the ‘Australian Achiever’. The restaurant has had numerous reviews published in The Age, Herald Sun, The Australian and many more. Even the MasterChef judge, Mat Preston reviewed Satuguru’s for Inside Melbourne claiming ‘It’s fresh, bright food that’s never overspiced nor swimming in cream or oil’.
