About This Course
The Certificate II in Security Operations course is covered as a correspondence course and a 2 day mandatory period in class. It covers 12 units from Certificate II and 5 units from Certificate III including First aid. This course is taught as flexible delivery with mandatory 2 days of in-house training.

Course Outcomes
Successful completion of this course entitles Students to a Certificate II in Security Operations, a Statement of Attainment for Crowd Control and Bodyguarding and a Statement of Attainment for First Aid.
Prerequisites
There are no pre-requisites for this qualification however,
<ul>
<li>Students must be over the age of 18.</li>
<li>Have no recorded conviction of a disqualifying offence within the previous 10 years, or an unrecorded finding of guilt of a disqualifying offence in the previous five years</li>
<li>Not be considered a risk to public safety</li>
</ul>
Other Information 
The Office of Fair Trading charge $438.25 to apply for a Security Providers Licence and Criminal History Check. This is not included in the course fee. You cannot gain employment as a Security Officer or Crowd Controller until you have received your licence (approx 3 – 4 weeks after application)
