Credit Transfer
If you have a certificate or results from previous training and your previous training is within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), it will be recognised by UIT. This means that you may apply for credit for any nationally recognised components of training that you have already successfully completed. Provided that your application meets the requirements, you will not have to complete these components of study again.
This also ensures that any AQF qualification or results you attain whilst undertaking studies with UIT will be fully recognised by all other Registered Training Organisations across Australia.
If you are eligible for Credit Transfer it may also mean the duration of your course will be reduced.
For more information regarding your eligibility for Credit Transfer, please refer to our Course Credits Policy or speak to a member of our Admissions team.
Recognised Prior Learning (RPL)
Students are eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
RPL is a form of skills recognition and involves the assessment of unrecognised skills and knowledge gained outside the formal education and training system. This may have been through work experience, informal education and training, general life experience, or a combination of all these elements.
For more information regarding your eligibility for RPL, please refer to our Course Credits Policy or speak to a member of our Admissions team.
