Its a journey that started with idli (Rice Pancake) at the age of 11 and moved into my grandmother’s kitchen where a whole new culinary world awaited. A young lad in grade five felt inspired to cook idli (Rice Pancake) right from soaking the lentils, to grinding them, and then steaming the pancakes. That is when I knew it was cooking for me. While my peers found peace in playing outdoors, I often took comfort watching my grandmother cook and learnt the tricks of trade earlier on. I am very passionate about food that I cook. Taking home food to next level has always excited me and all the recipes you see here are creating gourmet dishes at home the simple yet tasty way.
Along the way came many friends, colleagues, who encouraged me to cook for them. This kick started bringing dishes outside my kitchen. One lead to another and I am only happy to announce that today at lunch I can see many happy faces at work!! Watching the kids munch my food during birthday parties is a rewarding experience in itself. Its my goal to see a content smile always across all ages.
I am married and have a wonderful family. My passion has always found an audience in my 2 boys. Like they say it takes two to tango and the hand that never left my side all the way was of my lovely wife Jaswinder. Thank you for your support and encouragement. You are and will always remain my biggest critic who only inspires me to do better.
