Hello Harmonium lovers,I am a student, learning to play Harmonium by watching online videos. If you are one of this type too then I am sure you would agree that after a while, at some stage it becomes a bit dull and boring, as it is a long process to learn the Indian Classical way (Alankars, Thaats', Raga's - play all of them with all 12 scales......). Especially if you are learning just by yourself, online.I think it's a 7 year course back in India, if you want to be a "Visharad" and more for higher degrees. But the advantage is there's a Master (Guru) and Student/s (Sishya/s) and interactive sessions. Which is completely lacked in online/virtual world.I know there are classes running in and around Sydney, however, it's too expensive ($15 / $20......$45 cash per session). Times this by 52 weeks, for 7 years. IT IS DEFINITELY EXPENSIVE.Hence, contributing all the above, and due to lack of motivation, at times, one tends to stop it and leave it in between. Thus, all I am planning to do is open up my heart and home to serious and like minded people (childrens and adults) who are interested in taking this long journey, motivate each other and keep moving ahead in right direction. If anyone of you is a Guru, learned Indian Classical way to play Harmonium, you are more then welcome to guide us. We won't pay you of course, but in your spare time, you are welcome to come and polish your skills and simultaneously guide us too. I plan to charge $5 per session of 45 mins, per student with BYO Harmonium/keyboard. The charge is only for basic wear and tear, power for keyboard and giving a platform to serious fellow music lovers, This is with no intention to make any money or profit. So if you are interested, call me to discuss the days and times. I am generally free on weekends and thinking on Saturdays between 10 to 1pm. 3 x 45 mins sessions. Let's discuss and plan to motivate each other, in this beautiful journey.......
