The foundations of all our artists’ interests in Makeup Artistry stems from their education and training at the elite Serge Louis Alveraz (SLA) Academy. Having spent over 6 months training and acquiring two certifications from an academy that pride themselves on European french makeup artistry provided an excellent platform to develop a truly sophisticated and elite style of makeup. Pencil and Brush’s motto for makeup Artistry is not only about following current trends, colours and styles,  yet it’s the ability to recognize a person’s characteristics and the ability to analyze them and then use specific colours and textures of makeup as well as techniques, to enhance their natural features; creating that flawless and timeless look in front of the camera and in person. We accomplish that by tailoring our makeup artistry to each of our client’s personal style, detailed facial analysis and finally and most importantly through the collaboration of the artist and client ideas.

Pencil and Brush serve two purposes as a makeup artist; firstly we invest our time in understanding our clients, their background, culture, lifestyle, and outlook. We like to spend quality time understanding your needs and requirements for your big day/special occasion and providing you with sound, confidence advise and a look that will only leave you impressed. Our makeup team will work alongside this information gathered to create the perfect outlook for you, your family members and other guests. Our intention as a makeup artistry brand is to combine our expertise with client needs to create that perfect look that leave our client very pleased with our services. We aim to make your experience with Pencil and Brush an exciting one as opposed to another stressful task on the list to conquer for your big day. Our aim is to have you only leave our studio with a look that you are completely satisfied with and excited to show off! Our team is extremely flexible and adaptable to your preferences and will work to achieve them with you, even if that entails a thousand change of minds…after all it's your big day! Secondly, our purpose here at Pencil and Brush is to continue that relationship that was initiated on the first meeting, through open communication, ongoing discussions on colors/themes/new inspirations that you may come across during the course of your preparation. We will always be happy to sit down and discuss new ideas or change of minds, and this is just part of the customer service we like to offer our clients.
