Dr Ganesha Thambipillay
Sydney Sleep Services was founded by Dr Ganesh Thambipillay in 2008. Dr Thambipillay is a Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Sleep Physician with over 30 years’ experience. Currently a Senior Staff Specialist at the Children’s Hospital at Randwick, he was nominated by the International Association of Paediatricians as a top paediatrician in NSW in 2015. He was also included in the 2015 edition of the “Leading Physicians of the World”
Having conducted over 1,067 Sleep Reviews of Children in 2016 alone, Dr Thambipillay is passionate about helping children (and their parents) with sleep. His belief is that a lack of sleep is the primary cause of a number of issues including:

<li>The slowing down of a child’s development (such that they end up behind their peers)</li>
<li>Family breakdowns – a lack of sleep in the child always results in the lack of sleep for one or more of the parents, which can make life a living nightmare.</li>
<li>Behavioural issues at school – which can be misdiagnosed</li>
<li>Inability to concentrate leading to poor performance at school</li>
<li>Falling asleep during the day, which can lead to poor self-confidence, especially when the child is made fun of by peers</li>
