Dr Sateesh Shankaranarayana is a Rheumatologist and treats a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions with a special interest in Inflammatory Arthritis and Connective Tissue Disorders.
Sateesh is a compassionate and caring physician with a holistic approach. He focuses on what’s best for the patient and strives to achieve the best possible outcome.
Sateesh has been working as a Rheumatologist on the Gold Coast since 2014.
Sateesh completed his medical degree at the University of Mysore, in India and subsequently undertook Basic Physician Training in India, United Kingdom and Australia.He has worked in Rheumatology Units in multiple hospitals in United Kingdom. He subsequently undertook Rheumatology Training in Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Greenslopes Hospital, Brisbane. He obtained his Membership of Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2005 and Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2012.
Sateesh has extensive training in musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Sateesh is a visiting Rheumatologist in Gold Coast University Hospital. He also has clinical privileges in Gold Coast Private, Pindara and John Flynn Hospitals. Sateesh is actively involved in teaching of Rheumatology Trainees.
Sateesh enjoys living on the Gold Coast with his wife.
