Dr Praka Sundaralingam completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of NSW and went on to complete a masters in medicine specialising in clinical epidemiology at the University of Sydney. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
He then completed his post graduate medical training at Westmead and Concord hospital in Sydney training at some of Sydney's leading gastroenterology centres, including the world renowned Westmead hospital.
Praka has undertaken two fellowships in pancreato-biliary interventional endoscopy (ERCP and EUS), firstly at Liverpool and recently in Canada where he worked performing biliary procedures at a leading liver transplant centre in Vancouver.
Dr Sundaralingam brings a high level of expertise in pancreato-biliary disease as well as general gastroenterology and hepatology skills to Port Macquarie Gastroenterology.
