General Medical Practitioner, Female
I graduated from medicine in 2009 and have been working at Atticus Health, Carrum, since 2014. I enjoy the full spectrum of general practice from newborns through to their parents and those in their more senior years to aged care and palliative care. However, my main area of interest is women’s health, aged care, internal medicine and preventive health. I view my job as a privilege to be able to listen to people’s life story and be part of their life journey.
I have an interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery. I perform skin checks, skin biopsies, skin cancer excision and some other minor procedures including Implanon insertion/ removal and IUCD removal.
I do not prescribe sleeping pills and strong pain killers. I do not see medico-legal, Work cover and TAC cases.
Although I like all aspects of general practice, my main interests are women's health, children's health and preventative health. I always do my best to gain the trust of my patients so that they can talk freely about their issues.
I think there is an enormous and ever increasing need for people in the community to have many of their emotional and social problems addressed by a health professional.
My interests otherwise include spending time with my family, cycling and cooking. My parents have always been an inspiration to me. Anyway, I am really looking forward to joining the team at Atticus Health and becoming a part of the Carrum community.
