Dr Karin Sekhon grew up in Canada, before moving to Australia to study medicine at James Cook University in North Queensland. Upon graduating in 2014, she worked at hospitals in regional Queensland and Melbourne, before moving to Perth where she completed her specialist GP training. She has additional qualifications in women's health, sexual/reproductive health, travel medicine and paediatrics.
Whilst Karin enjoys all aspects of general practice, her particular areas of interest are women's health, antenatal care, sexual health, child/adolescent health, chronic disease management and travel medicine.
She also works at a women's health clinic, and is proficient at IUD and Implanon insertions.
When not working, Karin is kept busy with her family and energetic dog, exploring Perth's best hikes and beaches, playing soccer and baking.
Karin is available for consultation on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and some Saturdays.
