General Practitioner, Male
Dr Silva completed his medical studies at the University of Colombo in 2008 and practised in areas of internal medicine, general practice and emergency medicine.
In 2018 he moved from Sri Lanka to Australia with his family, initially settling in Sydney. He worked at the Campbelltown Hospital as a Registrar in Emergency  Medicine, with short rotations at Fairfield and Camden Hospitals.
He wishes to specialise in general practice and has selected the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) for his training.
With more than 20 extended abstract publications under his name, Dr Silva specialises in digital health, with a special interest in health research.
His wife, Dr Madushani Silva, is also a GP, with special interests in anaesthesia and psychology.
Dr Silva was attracted to the community of Deniliquin because the laidback country lifestyle appealed to him and his wife to raise their two young daughters.
In his spare time, Dr Silva loves to fish, so he is thrilled to be able to get down to the Edward River on the weekends.
