Dr Salman Ahmed graduated (MBBS) in 1998 from Dow university of Health Sciences Karachi Pakistan. He has obtained his post graduate qualifications in Ophthalmology (Master of Eyes) in 2005 and has 16 years of experience as a medical practitioner, both in Pakistan & Australia.
He has performed a number of surgical procedures ranging from eye surgeries, skin lesion excisions to lumps and bumps excisions. He joined Australian General Practice in 2014 and served in Outback NSW in a town of 2500 people. He completed Australian Fellowship in General Practice (FRACGP) in 2018.
He has given his valuable medical services to families in Walgett, Brewarrina, Shellharbour, Churchill, Cranbourne and Wheelers Hill.
His special interests are to perform minor surgical procedures including excision of cysts, moles, lipomas, and skin cancers, wedge resection of ingrowing toe nails, and Implanon removal and insertion. He is equipped with his specialist general surgical skills in diagnosing and managing a wide variety of conditions. His special interests are family medicine, sexual health, skin cancer excision or biopsies and chronic disease management especially Diabetes. He enjoys continuing care for patients of all age groups.
Apart from work he loves travelling and looking forward to be examiner of RACGP. . He is happily married with two children.
