Dr Zakaria(Zak) Baig is an experienced GP with more than 30 years of clinical experience. His experience includes working in various emergency departments in UK, Ireland and Australia. He has worked in Royal Adelaide Hospital for nearly 3 years as a registrar in emergency department. Zak graduated from a medical school in Pakistan and has since received additional training in England, Ireland and Australia. From 2000 Zak started pursuing career in General Practice Medicine and in particular Rural Medicine where he practised on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia for more than a decade. Dr Baig is the Chair of the RACGP SA&NT and a director for Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Zak has been heavily involved in medical education for medical students and registrars and has a special interest in assisting international medical graduates (IMGs) with their training. Zak has also been an examiner for the RACGP and the Australian Medical Council for many years. His special interest include Emergency Medicine and Trauma, Cardiology and Family Medicine.
