Ramya graduated from University of Notre Dame, Fremantle. She spent first few years working at Fremantle Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital. After comprehensive general practice training in metropolitan and rural settings, she was awarded the Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She also holds a Diploma in Child Health and Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health. Ramya has a passion for preventative and community orientated medicine with a strong emphasis on continuity of care. She has special interests in child health, antenatal care up to 20 weeks, pregnancy planning, post-natal care, contraception including long acting contraceptive implants, and fertility and women's health. Ramya has a strong focus on medical education. She is actively involved in the training and development of the next generation of medical students and General Practitioners. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, reading and relaxing with family and friends.
