General Practitioner, Male Suran joined Gungahlin General Practice after working in a busy general practice in Canberra since 2013. completed his medical degree in 2005 in Sri Lanka and following that he has worked in many disciplines in medicine including Paediatrics, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Acute medicine and finally continued with his passion for General Practice. He has completed his Masters at Monash University, Melbourne in 2009. In addition to that completed an Advanced Diploma in Counselling Psychology with Wigan & Leigh College, UK in 2010. He gained the Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016. Due to his keen interest for up to date knowledge he has had training in managing patients with advanced Diabetes Mellitus and currently undergoing further training in dermatology. Suran has two boys and very much enjoys being with his family doing various activities including travelling and adventure sports. He has a keen interest in Cricket and plays for a local club during the weekends. Special Interests: Surgical procedures (Including Implanon, Tongue/lip Tie release,etc), Paediatrics, Diabetes Mellitus, Dermatology- Skin Cancers and various other skin conditions.
