In addition to general practice in Australia, she also has had  experience working at The Prince Charles Hospital and also at several rural hospitals in Australia as a Carrier Medical Officer. She has worked in different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Dr Kosala graduated from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka in 1998. She is also a fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Kosala won the prestigious Mary Mahoney award, at her FRACGP Fellowship Examination.
