Dr Deepak Singhal is now practising at Kon-Tiki Medical Centre.
Dr Deepak Singhal completed his medical degree from Delhi University, India in 1989. He is a Fellow of RACGP and brings over 32 years of General Practice experience to Birtinya Medical Centre.
He moved to Australia in 2014 & has worked in many different hospitals with various specialties across Australia, and has versatile skills. He was a fellow at the Prince of Wales Hospital and Concord Hospital in Sydney in 2010. He also worked at the John Hunter Hospital (Newcastle) and Gosford/ Wyong Hospitals at Central Coast NSW. He has thus developed a wide range of interests, which he hopes will be helpful in the care of his patients. He moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2018 from Sydney.
Being surgically trained as an orthopedic surgeon, he loves doing skin cancer surgery & even complex skin flaps. He particularly manages musculoskeletal issues / sports injuries comprehensively. He is also passionate about weight management, besides doing medical reports, work cover and driver license assessments. He enjoys all aspects of general practice but has special interests in chronic disease management (diabetes, cardiovascular, renal and neurological issues) and mental health.
Besides English, he is also fluent in Hindi and Punjabi. He has an avid interest in cricket and loves to be a part of the lovely Sunshine Coast community.
