Rocky Gamage graduated with honours from the University of Colombo in 2004 and entered into Family medicine training. In 2007 he moved to a regional hospital in Srilanka as a generalist with special skills in Anaesthesiology. He moved to Australia in 2010, and obtained Fellowship in Royal Australian College of General practitioners (FRACGP), in 2014.
He successfully completed a Diploma in child health in 2012, and a Certificate course in Sexual and reproductive health in 2013. In 2016 he started a Certificate of primary care dermatology. He continues to attend leading medical conferences in Australia and around the world. He is a senior GP supervisor with GPTQ since 2017 and continues to teach junior doctors and medical students.
He is proficient in all aspects of general practice from antenatal care to palliative care, and everything in between.
His special interests are food allergy/ intolerance, Autoimmune diseases, and healthy aging. He continues to study complementary and integrative medicine.
He lives with his wife Dilum, whom he met while they were medical students. She works as a consultant psychiatrist at Greenwich Hospital. They enjoy traveling, hiking, and being active in the local community. They value a simple life.
