Dr Banafsheh (Bana) Sadegh Alhoseini
A fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Dr Bana has been practising as a GP in rural Victoria and Western Australia since 2004. She originally gained her medical training in Iran, where she gained experience in a variety of disciplines working at major hospitals.
As a GP, she developed an interest in women's health, gaining qualifications in implanting IUDs. Another area of interest is skin cancer and cosmetic medicine. Dr Bana offers anti-wrinkle injections, micro needling, peeling, and PRP (plasma rich platelet) injections.
One aspect of her role which she enjoys is teaching and mentoring medical students and GP registrars.
In her spare time, Bana enjoys reading and cooking.
She can speak Farsi and English and is available in Bruce and Kippax from 8:30 to 5 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
