Kelvin has special interests in Occupational Medicine, Travel Medicine, Aviation Medicine and Medical Acupuncture.
He is a qualified PADI Divemaster and holds both a private aeroplane licence and a commercial helicopter licence.
Kelvin is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and Member of the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM), South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society (SPUMS), Australian Medical Acupuncture College (AMAC) and Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine (ASAM). In addition, he is a Registered Medical Acupuncturist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) through the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).
Prior to becoming a GP, Kelvin worked at a number of hospitals across Australia including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Osborne Park Hospital, Joondalup Health Campus, Port Hedland Hospital, Cairns Base Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital for Children and King Edward Memorial Hospital.
Kelvin grew up in Perth and completed his Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours at the University of Western Australia. He went on to complete a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with Honours before continuing with a Diploma of Child Health at Princess Margaret Hospital and a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and King Edward Memorial Hospital.
