General Practitioner, Female
Dr Bakshi graduated from Pozen Medical School, Poland in 1994. She pursued her post graduate training in Auckland, New Zealand and was awarded her Fellowship in General Practice in 2000. Since gaining her Fellowship, she has practiced Family Medicine in New Zealand and Canada, before settling in Australia in 2007. We were lucky enough to have her join the Oakden Medical Centre team in 2013. Since then, Dr Bakshi has completed diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine. Dr Bakshi has a wide range of interests and will see patients from all walks of life. She believes that dealing with a diverse group of patients with many different medical presentations is the most enjoyable and rewarding aspect of being a General Practitioner. Dr Bakshi’s special interest lies in managing patients with chronic medical conditions and she strongly believes in the therapeutic power of a good laugh. She is the mother of two teenagers who keep her very busy. She enjoys hiking around our beautiful state and loves to watch the tennis and cricket. She may support some NZ sporting teams but we won’t hold that against her!
