She finished her GP training in Leicester, UK and attained Membership of Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in 2007. She has worked in many specialities including Emergency Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Obstetrician and Gynaecology, Paediatrics & neurosurgery. She was a GP Partner in a city practice in Leicester, UK. She moved to Australia in 2017 with her family to work as a GP here.
