Vitiligo is an inflammatory skin disorder that causes a gradual loss of color of the skin (pigmentation). The hair on the skin that is affected by vitiligo could be affected by the condition and lose its color. It can appear white. It happens at any moment (from an early age until the time of death). This is evident more so in people who have darker skin tones regardless of race. People with fair skin may not be aware that their skin doesn't produce pigment.
In addition, the size and number of spots can vary from person to person. In the early stages of vitiligo, they appear as tiny patches, but later, they spread across the body. The condition becomes worse with time as large portions of the skin's colour fade. The spots can remain on their own or get better in certain people. Many people prefer an at-home remedy for vitiligo.
