Music Profile : Sri. Diwakar is a recipient of the honour as a vidwan (maestro) from the Karnataka Education Board, India, for proficiency both in playing the ancient stringed instrument veena and performing vocal music. He has also acquired proficiency in playing keyboard, conducting orchestra and composing music. He is a disciple of the well-known vocal masters, Gana Sudhakara, Sri. A. Subba Rao. Gana Kala Nidhi, Sri. Sundareshan and veena masters, Sri. C.Krishna Murthy and Sri. Shankar Rao He has also acquired special knowledge about theoretical aspects of music history, grammar and literature from Karnataka Kalabhushana Sri: N.S. Raman
The multi-talented engineer-musician, Vidwan (Maestro): Sri. Diwakar have been teaching vocal and instrumental music to a large number of students for several years and formally founded and registered the school of Carnatic music Called “Swara Raga Sudha” [The Nectar of Rhythm Melody].
He is a founder member of NZ Carnatic Music Society and actively participates in their endeavor in propagating Carnatic Music in NZ. Recently Vidwan Diwakar invented waxless veena which was appreciated by several musicians in Indian and abroad.
