Dr Hassanin has completed his training through the Royal Australian College of General Practice and is now a Registered Focussed Psychological Strategies Provider. 

What does a Registered Focussed Psychological Strategies Provider do? Dr Hassanin is able to do the following: Psycho-education (including motivational interviewing) Cognitive-behavioural therapy(ie:Behavioural interventions, etc) Relaxation strategies (ie:Progressive muscle relaxation, etc) Skills training (ie:Problem solving skills and training, Anger management, Social skills training, Communication training, etc) Interpersonal therapy (especially for depression)

Dr Hassanin has been working in hospital and general practice as a General Practitioner for 10 years. He has been working in Canberra over the last 5 years. He has achieved a Diploma in Child Health and International Paediatric Certificate from University of Sydney.

Dr Hassanin is a member of many organisations such as: Royal Australian College of General Practice (RACGP) American Congress Rehabilation Medicine (ACRM) America Academy of Family Physician (AAFP) Australian Indigenous Doctor Association (AIDA)

He is also a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practice and holds a General and Specialist Registration.

Dr Hassanin provides a relaxed, friendly and comprehensive care to every patient. On his free time, he enjoys swimming, diving, travelling, history and photography.
