Dr Manisha Abeya graduated from the University of London in 1996 and trained in Surgery and Paediatrics before going into General Practice. She has postgraduate qualifications in Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology in addition to General Practice. Dr Abeya moved to Australia in 2010 and has been a GP in Canberra since. Given her background, she undertakes skin checks, performs minor surgical procedures including removal of skin cancers, iron infusions, Implanon and Mirena IUD insertions. She is passionate about nutrition and preventive medicine and has special interests in Diabetes and Osteoporosis. Dr Abeya has two teenage daughters and is proud to be a Canberran.
