Dr Vinothan Paramanathan

General Medical Practitioner, Male

Dr Vino is a Specialist General practitioner, with 13 years of postgraduate experience. He is from Srilanka and started his Australian medical carrier in the Emergency Department, Rockhampton Base Hospital in 2010. While in Rockhampton, he worked with the multi-disciplinary team and gained vast experience and knowledge in managing acutely ill patients. He successfully completed AMC Certificate in 2011 and received General registration with AHPRA in 2012.

Dr Vino did his General practice training as rural registrar through Australian General practise training and completed his fellowship with RACGP in 2016. While he was doing his GP training in Chinchilla he also worked part time as Senior Medical Officer at the local hospital and still does Locum shifts as Senior Medical officer in the rural hospitals.

His Qualifications are: MBBS, AMC, DCH ,Cer.EM(ACEM), FRACGP

Special interest: he is passionate in all aspects of General practice including Emergency Medicine, geriatrics, chronic diseases, ADHD, Sexual health and paediatrics.

Teaching Experience: Mentoring Medical Students under John Flynn programme with ACRRM and currently supervising Medical student from Griffith and Bond University.

In his spare time enjoys photography and spend time with his family.

In Addition to English he is fluent in Tamil and Sinhalese.
