Hindustani classical vocal with Surmani Meenal Datar in Melbourne, 28th July 2018

The Melbourne Hindustani Classical Music Society is pleased to present “Surmani” Meenal Dattar in an enchanting traditional home baithak.

An A-grade artist of All India Radio for Hindustani classical music, Meenal ji is above all, a thinking, intellectual musician with mastery over Khayaal, Taan patterns, and Layakari. She presents a wonderful blend of tradition (Parampara), imbued by her own thoughts about the music.

Meenal ji will be accompanied by talented Melbourne based musicians, Pandurang Torvi on the Tabla and Prasad Karve on the Harmonium.
